The African Cup of Nations will be the African Olympic Qualifier. Thus, the winner from both men and women tournaments will be automatically qualified for the Rio Olympic Games in 2016.
The teams participating
Men's teams: Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria.
Women's teams: Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria.
For both categories, South Africa is the favourite but Egypt, Kenya, Ghana and Nigeria are expected to be serious competitors coming to win the tournament as well.
AfHF Congress
The African Hockey Federation's Congress will be held in TBC at TBC, on Friday 31st of October 2015.
All African National Associations are invited and can come with 3 representatives each.
This Congress will held elections for different positions in the African Federation Executive Board, of which the President position.

The tournament will be played at Randburg Hockey Stadium.
